A renovation of a home in Charlottesville’s Belmont neighborhood transforms a former primary suite into a light-filled family living space with a seamless connection to the outdoors. Expanded interior thresholds allow for fluid transitions between rooms, creating visual continuity with the kitchen and dining areas.

In the rear garden, an intimate studio offers a quiet retreat for work or reflection. A single picture window frames a view back to the main house, maintaining a sense of connection to family even in moments of solitude.
